5.9.12

autumn
begins

we have to get started and study
picture ourselves in the classroom of life as tidy little students
and life is ahead of us still all new and fresh and smelling great!

27.8.12

it's been foggy today; reminded me of a wonderful day last year
we walked a lot i remember

today, it is the 27th of august 2012
what is there to remember from this day? nothing really
nothing much an ordinary simple day for the simple man

a woman in her forties died today
the date for her death was this day

yes, it can be; our lives that meet then set apart
different locations where you may transpass
some are transparent like river waters
some are like the rocks

do we choose already? are you sure you chose correctly?
never, never set foot on the land of this ignorant certainty

you may come now

you have to bring the best of you my flower my little child

25.8.12

what is there to find?

each time, in every repetitive act
in those actions of life mundane
which keep us alive

you may think them as trivial
but pay your respect
to find their hidden grace

under the branches and the roots
there are routes to take
get your hands and faces dirty
mess courageously with the dirt

15.8.12

*

like the pebbles of the shore
and the waves of the sea;
the couple which counts time
in movement and in stillness

wish for many years of life ahead of us all

we lost two important teachers this summer:
Zorz Sarri, the writer, she wrote for the children, she raised lots of them, included me;
Tsolakis Christos, the teacher. They both were restless at work, determined to their goal.
With dignity and modesty and beauty.

Marcos Aurilios writes:
As if you are to leave from life this instant, this is the way to act each time
to speak and think.

and then he adds:
what does death mean; after you examine it separately and you set it apart from the things you have connected it with, you shall consider it nothing but the work of nature; whoever is afraid of nature's work, he is a child.

23.7.12

hello
from the desert of the forest
the yellow bird suspends
the gift of the day of today
there is little one could do
to realise how fortunate this time is

just add:
the yellow sun
the bluest sky
the warmest earth
the little blossoms around the eye
the shadow
the water of the spring
and sea
running through one's own body
and the sound of mid-day
and the sound of mid-night

-
as we speak

so many different things occur in life
we have missed each other whilst being together
alive means to long for

trees turn green from black
and tears turn white and soft

this house has two parts, the one built before 1950 and the other sometime later, perhaps in 1965. It is not going to live for much longer. I paid my visit and met the son of the builder. The oldest part of the house was made out of bricks that he created, moved to the site (with his sons) and put in place. The upper part was for the family. The other for the animals and the harvest. It reminded me of a castle and then i found out that it was built in a quite similar way!
