Elytis is one of the most known greek poets, this is just a part of a poem that i tried to translate for you. I think it talks about writing ('speaking' is the voice of the poem being read). About keeping writing, having the patience of the tree, that is the nature's patience that is inside us and is used to make all kinds of things: poems, shutters, everything in the course of time that helps us overcome all difficulties. I hope it makes sense to you.

this reminds me of a book by Michel Tournier: le Tabor et le Sinai. and there an essay on a painting by Levêque. it talks also about the heart of a tree, the innermost of a tree.

I've been meaning to ask you to teach me a few Finnish words (for now i know kahvi, lumetta, kiitos and a couple of others that i learned how to used during my stay which i don't know how to spell).
Perhaps you would like to learn a bit of greek?
there is always the problem of pronunciation though ;)
