[un]limited

Moving through space by lessening its physical limits. Some people consider it an act of destroying.
This kind of physical movement is above all a mental jump through space and time. From this point of view, it destroys the experience of transpassing and travelling. It creates a new definition and a new mind, that is a new way of thinking about and defining ourselves through space and the current means to conquer it.

i wonder, if by conquering our minds, we could also travel through space and time.
is it possible that these things work both ways? - to both directions?

It would certainly be a revolution and a liberation; imagine the freedom! But we already experience that kind of freedom through thought, imagination, creativity, art, memory, love. Perhaps, the total conquer of our mind would not have much more to add. We live in an infinite wander. That's why we are talking now, you and me.

for me that freedom, that comes from conquering our minds, is mostly liberation of dualism.
i agree with you, we live in an infinite wander!

It is said that we use only 15% of our capabilities.

We do have to believe in something; we do have to be somewhere; we do have to look at something and we do have to be one person. Even if we escape from practical dualism, we are still forced by an inner tense to make a choice. So, dualism is a first step to which we come back. Perhaps we are made to face it over and over again. Perhaps we cannot conquer it, [because] we are conquered by it.

i don´t mean to escape, but face.
maybe to conquer was a too big word for me. i´m quite practical.
what i meant was that instead of seeing two opposite things, i try to concentrate on what these two things form -the whole. not trying to separate them from each other. i think that everything is connected and moving all the time. i try to float, by doing that, i mean accepting life as it is. for me the possible freedom is in my attitude, not in life itself.

I am trying to understand.

Practically speaking, whenever I tried to accept oppositions as a whole, I ended up justifying without reason, losing my contact with practical consequences. It seems that there are oppositions born out of misunderstandings that would be better if it were reshaped. Others, mostly in nature, form a whole.
It is also said that there can exist nothing without its opposite one; this is a way to define one's own existence and uniquity.

Ritva είπε...

i´m curious, can you be more specific, please? you said you ended up justifying without reason...

I meant something quite dull, I' m afraid.

When it comes to people who act in order to fulfil their personal goals, it is not always wise to feel that they are entitled of their (opposite to reason) ideas and thoughts, especially when their attitude causes damage to others..

I can't accept life the way it is.I fear the time I might not realise that it is not to be accepted. When I say life, i don't mean our humanity, I don't mean the human bond with nature and others, I don't mean human pain and mortality; I only mean social reality: work, everyday life, antagonism, money, social values, politics, unequalities, cities, markets e.t.c.

When in Finland, we got to see forests in the capital! We seem to have no real relation with nature Greeks who live in big cities. I often feel I miss it terribly; the silence, the freshnesh, the trembling silence, the lightful air, the moisture of the ground, the shadows of the leaves, the creatures, the honey. How can one be balanced and keep creating so harshly being separated from all that's natural, I do not know.

i think i got the picture.

i ran from the city and moved to this village. it´s just like being in a cradle. it was not escaping, but taking responsibility for my well-being. i´m no good to anyone without spiritual balance.
i don´t think that people here are any better, we just have more trees here.

funny you should mention honey,i see this all, as a ball of honey and crap. to understand life, is not trying to pick the crap out but to understand, that they belong together. that´s what life is all about, that is, for me it is.

you know what irritates me most-
if and when those crap things happen, first of all they happen and secondly they succeed in capturing my mind and energy in them.
so, i, without my own will, by giving my energy, make the crap grow and have more influence.
that´s why i prefer kind of positive indifference. let go, set free... and try to concentrate on things that i value.
it´s a conscious choice.

Finn είπε...

thank you, I couldn'y agree more, especially about the growing of negativity by the waste of our energy. But, does it mean we can do nothing to make things change? Can we only learn to live with the crap? Perhaps... no optimism larger than our home and body. That's our reality. We would be blessed to accomplish some personal space for breathing and thinking and sharing and being happy and being calm.
I dream to move to a smaller place, with trees. I don't think that this would magically solve problems, but I might have less excuse to be thoughtless, forgetful, angry, mentally tired and misled.

Thank you, Ritva.

Ritva είπε...

thank YOU!
exactly, i hope that your dreams with trees come true, that you will have enough power to fulfill them.
i like to believe that this silent way also changes things little by little.
hugs!
